Daymaker Music, a forthcoming instrument repair shop in Seattle, needed a brand that brought community and craft together. Professionalism and play go hand-in-hand with a sunshine-drenched look.
The logo embodies clarity and warmth. A semicircle represents the sun, surrounding a guitar’s soundhole, fretboard, and strings. “Daymaker” swoops around the soundhole to complete the shape. From this perspective, looking up the neck of a guitar feels like gazing at a perfect sunrise.
PiePie is a playful, chunky display typeface for headings. Crisp, straight lines keep it clear and professional. For body type, Verdana is a classic sans-serif typeface that puts legibility first, while echoing some of PiePie’s signature geometry.
Abstract instrument icons add personality and energy to layouts. They lean against walls and edges, making any frame feel lived-in and approachable. Their forms are pulled directly from Piepie, so they blend perfectly with the logo and heading copy.
